Villa Skadarlija

We had a serious problem when we arrived in Belgrade, and thankfully the receptionist was there to help us sort it out. The staff and boss were wonderful and helped with everything we needed. The hotel is right in the city center, in a great spot for a stay in Belgrade. 10/10.

I felt right at home here. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a large bathroom and some thoughtful little touches. The hostess was welcoming, polite, and kind. It’s a lovely hotel in the heart of Belgrade, just a few meters from the Bohemian neighbourhood. The street is quiet, with plenty of boutiques, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby.

I slept so well in the comfortable bed, and the pillows were just right for me. The room was beautifully clean, with no artificial scent or fabric softener on the sheets, which matters a lot to me. This little jewel is in the heart of Dorcol - Old Town Belgrade, and Skadarlija is only a few minutes’ walk away. It’s a must visit street with ethnic restaurants, good food, and good rakija. Across from the hotel entrance there’s a small cafe where I ended the evening with a reasonably priced glass of premium white wine Jagoda that grows only in southern Serbia. The owner greeted me with a small snifter of premium rakija, a double distilled brandy of Vranac grape. I’ll come back whenever I’m in Belgrade.

The rooms were generally in good condition, with a clean, modernly restored bathroom, a working heater, and enough hot water. This is a lovely, cozy boutique hotel, and the staff are kind. The location is close to everywhere. Some rooms don’t have windows facing the street and instead share a balcony with another room. That detail should be included when booking. Thanks a lot.
