Hotel Omia

I was promised a quiet room in my reservation, but nobody warned me about the noise nearby. Groups of very drunk men from a striptease club close by shouted in the parking area right outside the room windows at 3:00 am. Every day, the garbage truck also spent 30 minutes making terrible noise in that same parking lot. The receptionist acknowledged that drunk people often made noise through the night. The building also felt completely unsafe. They supposedly give guests a magnetic key for entry, but the street door was unlocked 24 hours a day, and the inner door to the rooms was constantly open. Anyone could walk in from the street right up to my room. This was especially concerning between 14h and 9h, when nobody was at reception.

The bathroom was very clean, and the room had an air conditioner, tea cups, and an electric kettle, which was handy for making tea or coffee. Everything else was great, too. The only downside was no mini fridge. We had food with us, so it would have been nice to have somewhere to keep it.

The rooms without windows might put some people off, but we loved ours. We slept until 11am on the first morning, which we never do! The hotel is very clean and close to the center of Belgrade, with even a little bar for a beer or coffee. The staff are quite young and will sort out all your needs. Best hotel in Belgrade, and we’ll definitely book again.

The location was good, and the place was modern and clean, but the room had no window or way to get fresh air, which felt claustrophobic. There was tea in the room, but no coffee there or anywhere else in the hotel. That seems like a pretty basic thing to have.
