I’m leaving this review here because I can’t post one on Booking after canceling a prepaid stay in one of the apartments at this location. We arrived around 7 PM, and the owner apologized that the apartment might not be very clean because the previous guests had checked out only three hours earlier. It did look a bit dirty at first, though we thought it was manageable, so we unloaded the car and went to the market to buy toilet paper, a kitchen sponge or dishcloth, dish soap, and hand soap. Those hadn’t been provided, apart from one roll of toilet paper. While making dinner, we tried to use the kitchen’s electric boiler and found it wasn’t connected. That seemed odd, especially in January 2025 when you’d expect to need hot water in the kitchen. As we ate, we noticed black mold stains on the walls and ceiling, which looked like signs of an older water leak. There was also a bug on the ceiling. After sitting on the sofa for a while, bed bugs started coming out of it, and we found some in the other beds too. Worse, the pillowcases had mold on them. We called the owner, who seemed shocked by what we’d found. He started stripping the beds and sofa because the bugs were everywhere, then sprayed cockroach spray while our luggage was still in the room. That wasn’t a good idea, as our throats felt irritated afterward. We decided to find somewhere else to stay. The owner offered another apartment for that night, but after this experience we wouldn’t even look at it. We asked for our money back, and the owner hesitated and asked, “How much money do you want back?” We said we wanted the full amount we’d paid. Since it was close to midnight and we couldn’t find another place, we ended up sleeping in the car. In my opinion, the owner wasn’t very honest, and I don’t think anyone had stayed in that room for a long time. The room was overpriced given how dirty and unsanitary it looked, and the photos on Booking were definitely out of date. The positive point is that the owner was fair and gave us a full refund.
