Hotel Rtanj Kopaonik

The location and hotel interior are still the best parts. The guy in the ski room was the best, so kind and polite, and the waitresses were very kind too. But the food has gone downhill compared with previous years, including the buffet breakfast and dinner. The room TV has no Netflix or YouTube. During our five days, they didn’t change the bed linen or towels, refill or replace the shampoo and shower gel, or bring more coffee after the two bags they left at the start. The pool and Jacuzzi water were too cold, the tapadarium wasn’t warm enough, and the sauna was too hot. Something is definitely off with the spa temperatures. The woman at reception was rude and seemed uninterested, unlike in previous years. This would all be easier to accept if the price weren’t so high.

We weren’t staying at Rtan Hotel, but stopped by its bar in Kopaonik and really enjoyed it. The place feels cozy and authentic, and the products are good. They have homemade lemonade, fresh crepes, traditional doughnuts like grandma used to make, and a great surprise, coffee made the Balkan way in an ibrik. The flavors are simple and honest, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. The staff were attentive, cheerful, and welcoming. We felt looked after, not hurried, and the relaxed atmosphere made us want to stay longer. Even as non-guests, we can say the bar, the service, and the people are excellent. Highly recommended!

I loved spending time in the bedroom, especially with that breathtaking view. The room was one of the larger ones for the package we booked, which included a basic double room, daily breakfast, and spa access. The maids were really understanding when I needed to stay in the room until later in their shift, and they still left it nice and neat.

The spa and gym were amazing, and the staff were so kind that they gave us a better room because I was pregnant. It’s a great spot for skiing, with delicious traditional Serbian homemade food. The hotel itself is great, though the rooms could use a renovation.
