Rile Men Hotel

The place was filthy, smelled of smoke, and seemed broken. There was poop left in the toilets in more than two rooms. The reception staff were very nice, especially Ana. The older gentleman was less so.

The rooms were dark and filthy, and clearly hadn't been cleaned. My husband's towel was dirty and wet, and the hallway was piled with garbage. We were there with family and friends, but the girl at reception charged us before we'd seen the rooms. When we chose to leave and find another hotel, she wouldn't give our money back. This was our worst experience. We won't return, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

The only upside was being close to the center. The room had no hot water, and the lights looked like they were coming loose. Cigarette smell was everywhere, from reception and the stairs to the rooms. I lasted just one night: there were cockroaches all over, and I heard them in the room while trying to sleep, so I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. It was very dirty, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It's in a great location, and the rooms are roomy enough. The reception staff were courteous and spoke good English, though they couldn't do much to help. In some rooms the decor is tired, the bathroom leaked, the shower didn't work properly, and there were a few other niggles. For what it costs, it could easily be brought up to the standard you'd expect. I probably won't come back.
