The manager's response made an already tiring arrival much worse. He told me I had to pay for two nights because I had checked in early, and seemed dismissive and unsympathetic. I wasn't given an explanation or another option when I arrived. I would have accepted the extra charge if it had been made clear beforehand. After staying in many hotels, I've never had service this unhelpful, and the lack of clarity and professionalism left me very disappointed. I had only booked one night, but got there a few hours before check-in on the day of my stay, completely exhausted. I told the security guard I was willing to wait in reception until check-in time or until reception opened. He handed me a keycard, so I assumed I could go ahead and check in. This experience significantly affected my trip. I won't come back or recommend the hotel.

The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was very good, including the coffee. The room felt cramped, and there was no kettle or bottled water. People were smoking in the breakfast room.

The building's architecture was what mattered most to me. It's a unique example of its time, right in the centre of Novi Pazar. The renovation has made the hotel much more luxurious. My room was spacious, everything was really clean, and the bed was comfortable. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, with its different local tastes. It was a great stay, thanks so much.

I lived in Novi Pazar 30 years ago and now visit once or twice a year. I always stay at Vrbak. It has a long tradition and distinctive architecture across the river in the city centre. The hotel is nice and clean, the local breakfast is tasty, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd warmly recommend it.

I'm still thinking about my meal at Vrbak. The lasagna and salad with calamari are worth trying, and the malinada drink is delicious. Every bite was lovely, and the presentation really impressed us. The food, attentive service and charming atmosphere made the whole meal a delight and a memorable experience.
