I had a clean, spacious room during my excellent mid-October stay. The hotel occupies the top floor of a charming historic building beside the landmark Church of the Holy Name of Mary. Receptionist Arian was very helpful. I hope they make an effort to address the earlier negative reviews and make the hotel more comfortable and welcoming.

The staff were polite and friendly, but the stay fell far short of what I expected. We had no hot water in our room, so we couldn’t shower for two days. Four times we were told it would be fixed “within an hour”; after the repeated delays, we checked out early. The restaurant was another disappointment. Prices were extremely high for the quality, and the food was poor. At breakfast, the eggs were ice cold and the sausages were such poor quality they were barely edible. While we were in the restaurant, the fire alarm went off and stayed on for 30mins. I’m not sure how this hotel has 4 stars. It does have a spa, but it costs 80e for 2 persons for only 1:30 mins. Even the most expensive hotel at our ski resort in Kopaonik charges 30e per person for a full day. That’s my opinion, but be careful if you book. You won’t be amazed.

I booked a stay at Queen Palace Hotel in Novi Sad for a friend’s wedding. She had kindly arranged rooms here for me and several other guests, but the weekend quickly turned into a nightmare. When we arrived at 11pm, we learned that none of the rooms had working air conditioning, something they hadn’t mentioned beforehand. They told us to squeeze three adults into one room and said a portable air conditioner would arrive, but it never did. It was boiling hot, we couldn’t sleep, and we had to get ready for a wedding the next day. The room was filthy, with cobwebs everywhere, and there was a disgusting drain smell. Towels weren’t changed and the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. The receptionist was rude, unhelpful and offered no solutions. We complained, but never saw the manager or owner and were ignored. Even with all these problems, we were charged full price. A total disgrace. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the stress and stay elsewhere. This place isn’t worth your time or money!

We traveled from Malta for a wedding in Novi Sad, and this hotel ruined the trip. It was over 35°C, but there was no air conditioning. Our room wasn’t cleaned, and the front desk staff acted like we were bothering them. We also asked several times for a receipt after paying, but never received one. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We were stuck there for all five days, and it was disgusting. There was a bad smell in every bathroom, the rooms were dirty, and the bathroom was filthy. The breakfast was no better. If you got up at 7 am, you might find something to eat, but after 7.30am you had to go elsewhere for breakfast. Staff were nowhere to be seen, and when we did find someone, they said they didn’t work there and were just covering for a few hours. We were the only guests there with no staff and no one to talk to. We checked in around 5 pm to Queen Palace hotel Novi Sad and found no AC in the room. We had paid in full upfront, booking directly with the hotel for 8 rooms plus a special room, but weren’t given a receipt. They said the AC would be fixed in the morning. The heat was unbearable, so three of us had to sleep in my niece’s room, sharing one bed. It’s a shame a place like this is even advertised. The people were arrogant and had no idea how to handle tourists. You could fill a book describing this hotel. Shame on you!
