Bocke Beach House

The river view from the covered upstairs terrace is wonderful, and there's another terrace out in the garden. The house is small, but it has a huge back garden and a large garden area facing the Danube. We loved being right on the beach, even though the river was high during our stay. Inside, the apartment is lovely, nicely decorated, and well equipped. The bathroom has been completely redone since the photos we saw, and it does have a door, despite an earlier comment saying otherwise. The bed had been installed the day before we arrived, so it was brand new, and everything was comfortable. Parking in the garden is spacious. One thing to know: the kitchen is reached from outside through the garden, not from the apartment. That didn't bother us, though it could be inconvenient in bad weather. I'd happily stay here again.

The sunset is mesmerizing, and the place itself is great, with an even better view.

They paid for three nights but left after one because they couldn't stay there with a 2-month-old baby. The place was dusty and dirty, the kitchen elements were dirty, and there was no toilet paper. The bed linen smelled and had stains. No host bothered to call and ask how we were, let alone come by. Instead of a toilet door, there's a curtain.
