The staff are very kind, but the value is zero. Prices are high compared with other local restaurants, while the food quality is low compared with nearby places. They charge 400rsd just for sitting at a table. If the staff hadn’t been kind, I’d have given zero stars. We didn’t stay at the hotel, this review is only about the restaurant.

The restaurant at ZAK is excellent, with a good selection of Serbian wines. The duck breast and filet mignon with goose liver were both delicious and grilled just right. It’s within walking distance of the city center and Aleksander Office Tower, where Banking and Continental Automotive are. I’ll come again. As for the accommodation, it’s a solid bed and breakfast with large, quiet rooms, a modern and very good bed, and a clean bathroom, though it isn’t stylish. There can be a little noise from the restaurant below, but it didn’t bother me; perhaps a party would change that. Breakfast runs from 09:00 to 11:00, which was too late for me as an early riser. I’d have had to catch my first flight hungry.

The ambience was very pleasing, and the kitchen was quite good. Service was friendly and attentive, portions were surprisingly large, and they gave a good wine recommendation.

Spacious rooms, a tasty breakfast and friendly staff made this a great place to stay. It’s close to the city center, too.

The people working there are amazing, the food is the best in Europe, and the prices are very reasonable.
