The hotel’s handling of this was dishonest, unreliable, and deeply disappointing. I’d strongly caution anyone thinking of booking there. I’ve used Booking.com for years and never had a hotel behave this way. It caused me stress and serious inconvenience, since finding reasonably priced accommodation in the city centre for four people so close to the travel date is nearly impossible. I booked at Hotel Arhiv Boutique House in Novi Sad through Booking.com in May 2025, with full confirmation for both the room and parking, so I thought everything was settled. Then, less than a month before arrival, the hotel called to say it couldn’t honour the reservation because of “a mistake” with Booking. They asked me to cancel it myself, even though they were responsible for providing what they had confirmed. Later that same day, they marked my credit card as invalid in Booking.com’s system, despite the policy saying they wouldn’t charge it before arrival. That simply wasn’t true and was unacceptable. Everything they told me and Booking.com felt like an excuse, not the truth. Cancelling a confirmed reservation four months after it was made and just weeks before arrival was unprofessional and showed complete disrespect for customers. The accommodation ignored our messages and offered no support. It was very disappointing, unprofessional, and misleading, and I can’t recommend it. I stayed here with a friend in February 2024. We booked through Booking.com partly because the property advertised “parking included.” On arrival, staff showed us where to park. Later, the city parking authority issued an official penalty. We followed the host’s instructions exactly, but I had to watch my friend pay 57.62 EUR for something that wasn’t our fault.

The room was clean and the hotel is in a great spot. The woman at reception was really friendly too. Very good hotel!
