Hotel Park

The location couldn't be better. The room was clean, though the carpet needs replacing.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Just know that the restaurant is in a separate building, about 50 metres from the main one, and breakfast needs work: the selection was limited, food wasn't replenished well, and the flies weren't properly dealt with. As for the hotel itself, its 200-year-old, rustic character is part of the appeal. If you're expecting modern facilities, you'll be disappointed.

The room's wine was good, but the rest of the stay left me disappointed. The Booking photos had made the hotel look decent, and I hadn't realized the restaurant was about 100 metres away in another building. It was reserved for a wedding, though the receptionist kindly said we could order on the terrace. When we tried, the staff wouldn't serve us before 10 PM because the kitchen had closed, even though we only wanted drinks and beer. The wedding noise went on until 1 AM. Breakfast the next morning was at a one-star hotel level. I'd pay extra if you want proper coffee.

The price feels fair, and the setting is hard to beat, with a breathtaking view through those gorgeous, tall windows and their sit-in sills. The hotel has a beautiful, aristocratic old-style look and feel. It's definitely worth considering when visiting Palić. Just get to breakfast early, since the food may be cold later and the water or coffee might have been taken away, so you'll need to ask the staff to bring it back.
