Vila Verona

There’s a little pool in the garden, and the parking across from the house sits under trees. The place is clean, has what you need for a stay, and offers good value for the price. The owner is really nice and easy to reach. I’d recommend it.

The staff were endlessly patient and helpful, and we really appreciated all their effort. The local food brought back childhood memories and thoughts of better times. It’s a quiet, nostalgic place with an old-fashioned feel. We’ll come back for sure and tell our friends about it.

The tap water smelled like blood or iron, and didn’t seem suitable for any use. There was no light in the toilet, and the kitchen area was dark with no sink. Everything in the villa felt dark, and we couldn’t open the windows. Just a meter away, the neighbors kept chickens and other animals. The crowing kept us from sleeping, and the manure smell was so strong we couldn’t open the window. At 7, the landlady started talking loudly with a woman. When we arrived, she knew we were coming but wouldn’t answer her phone, even though it was ringing in her pocket. We eventually found her after trying for a while. There was parking, but apparently none for us. Maybe it depends on nationality. We had to park outside in some sljiiviku.

It felt like spending the summer at a dear friend’s place, with a homely atmosphere and quiet surroundings that were great for relaxing. The rooms were tidy and nice, and the lake is nearby. The owner was very kind and helpful, and gave us much more than we expected. We could use the pool and have a barbecue in the garden, and parking was provided too. We had a lovely time and can’t wait to stay again.
