Every bit of furniture and every corner of the garden feels like a piece of history and art. We’re planning to return, possibly with two other couples, rent the whole house, and use it as a base for visiting Novi Sad, Fruška Gora, and elsewhere. Special thanks to Branka and Nebojša for letting us glimpse the history and soul of Sremski Karlovci. The stay exceeded all our expectations.

After busy days, the peaceful welcome from the thoughtful hosts in their tastefully renovated home is a lovely change of pace. The fresh air and flower scents also make you want to try local Srem cuisine with its indigenous wines. Following the paths of culture and wine leads to the beautiful town of Sremski Karlovci, set between the slopes of Fruska Gora and the Danube.

The accommodation is great and the location is good. Just be aware that there’s no heating on autumn days when the house isn’t full.
