The location is peaceful and has good connections to the centre and central bus station, though it's not central. I stayed three nights in a six-bed women's dorm upstairs, with a balcony. That was a good call: reviews mentioned that the ensuite rooms are on the ground floor near the common area, where the music is loud, and I agree. The bed was comfy and just like the photos, and the whole place was spotless. In the kitchen, every bed has its own food-storage box, which is a clever and handy idea.

The facilities were in rough shape during my stay. The shower had weak pressure, there was no ventilation and the air felt stale, and the rooms were cold. The beds squeaked, and some lockers wouldn't lock, which made me worry about safety. My interactions with the owner were worse. When I asked how to use the stove, he mocked me. The next day I was rushing and left my shoes by the sink. He screamed at me and told me to wash the floors instead of simply reminding me. My bed was broken and squeaky, so I asked to change rooms. Rather than deal with the bed, he insulted me and blamed the noise on my weight. I found that fatphobic and completely unprofessional. I also heard him repeatedly speak disrespectfully about guests and volunteers, especially Turks and Chinese people. I experienced the atmosphere as hostile, and don't think he should be working in hospitality. I'd strongly advise people to stay away. I expect he'll reply and try to make me look bad, as he does with other negative reviews. Reading his replies may show how superior he thinks he is and explain the concerns people have. Save your money and your mental health, and stay somewhere else.

The hostel is in a quiet residential neighborhood beside a park, and it isn't a party place. A good spot to get away from the clubs and traffic for a while. The beds have curtains, outlets, and wall-mounted stands, and the shower is great. The kitchen closes at ten. There are some free ingredients in the fridge, and sometimes free soup. One thing to plan for: don't arrive before 2. They won't let you wait in the common area before check-in, even if it's snowing heavily outside.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. There's also a nice co-working area. With a few changes, this place could be perfect. It's frustrating that you can't hang out inside before check-in, even when it's snowing outdoors. The heating also only comes on at 8 pm. They said that's when heating starts in Serbia, but my previous hostel in Belgrade kept it on all day.

Guests can help themselves to free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, and the kitchen is fully equipped. There's a well set-up coworking space that works especially well for digital nomads. The rooms are comfortable and everything stays very clean. Staff are kind and attentive, and the owner sometimes offers guests delicious soup. It's a welcoming place, and one of the best hostels I've stayed in across Europe. I'd absolutely recommend it.
