We only stayed one night, midway through our trip, and I’d recommend it. The rooms were clean and tidy, with a working TV and AC included in the price. Nothing was broken, the staff were kind, and breakfast was nice. The nearby roads make quite a bit of noise, though closing the windows keeps it out, and you can use the AC. We brought our dog and paid an extra fee. He was no problem, but couldn’t come into the restaurant for breakfast.

The meals were delicious, freshly made, and had local flavors. The hosts and service were warm and attentive, ready to help whenever I needed something. I stayed near Šaj (Gat), and everything was well arranged when I arrived. The sleeping space was clean, comfortable, and cozy after a long day. One of my best overnight stays, and I’d gladly recommend it for the food, comfort, and hospitality.

From 23:28 to 23:54 on June 11, I was given two rooms that didn’t match my reservation, my booking details were denied, and the receptionist mocked me. He never apologized. Instead, he brushed me off and told me to “just go to sleep.” I nearly cried. I’d done nothing wrong, I just wanted the room I’d booked. I’d walked 2km from the bus station and was treated terribly for no reason. It was a humiliating, deeply disappointing experience, and I felt targeted because of race and price. I’d reserved a one bed room with breakfast through Booking.com for €27.3. A loyal user discount made it €1.7 less than the hotel’s own offer of €25 plus €4 for breakfast, €29 total. But they first put me in a cheaper room with two small beds. I calmly showed the receptionist my confirmation and room photos. He wouldn’t accept that he’d made a mistake, scrolled through my phone, pointed at bathroom pictures, and said, “This is your room.” I even joked, “Are you suggesting I sleep in the bathroom?” to ease things. After I spent a while explaining, he got impatient and moved me to a family room with a big bed and a small bed. That was wrong too. Only on the third try did I get the room I’d actually booked. Then he said, “You booked small money, that’s small bed.” I’ve traveled full-time for over a year and used Booking.com for hundreds of nights across 10 countries. This was the worst experience I’ve had, and the first time I’ve been racially insulted and disrespected like this. I won’t forgive it. Your hair may be grey, but clearly your manners didn’t age with you. I sincerely hope you don’t represent the hospitality of Serbia or Europe, because that would be a disgrace. Hotel management, please check the front desk footage from June 11, 23:28 to 23:54, to see how your staff mistreated me, assigned two wrong rooms, and never apologized. I insist on leaving this 1-star review. You don’t deserve better.

My room was small, and the surrounding area could get a little noisy. Still, it was a cosy place for one night, with amazing food and a lovely owner. I’d stay here again, definitely recommend it from my point of view.
