I was fine with the downsides for just one night. There’s no breakfast, and the room has no windows. The host doesn’t speak English, so you’ll need a translator to communicate. On the plus side, it was very clean, the shower was comfortable, and free public parking is nearby. The city center is a short walk away.

The price is above average for what you get. There’s no heating or windows, and it’s damp. The one thing I can say in its favor is that it exists. A last-resort place in Valjevo. The value just isn’t there, I wouldn’t go.

This is Jelena’s husband, Bojan. We argued about the price because it changes with the number of beds. One price is listed online, then you’re charged more. I paid for the night, but not for being kept awake. In Valjevo, on 26/27.07.2025, it was 1:23 a.m. The temperature had been 39°, and there was no fresh air on the first floor except through one small roof window. The fan did nothing, and there was no air conditioning. I was watching the children sleep soaked in sweat while my wife tossed and turned. The bedding seemed neat, but the floor was so dirty you couldn’t get out of bed. I was naive to trust the place. I’d looked at the accommodation and thought it seemed fine, but I hadn’t realized you couldn’t sleep there.
