Bed And Breakfast Ponte Bianco

The room was clean and very good, and the service was too. The women serving us were really kind. But the food was awful. As someone else said, I think that pizza may be the worst you can get anywhere, and the other dishes we ordered were just as bad. On Friday evening, a local artist played in the hotel restaurant. The music was so loud it carried through the neighborhood and went on well past midnight. I couldn’t sleep in my room at all, it felt like there were no windows. That showed very little respect for guests staying at the hotel.

The location is great. We parked the car and walked everywhere in the city centre. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially at check-in. The restaurant staff were nice too, though they seemed inexperienced, almost like interns. There was free parking in front, and although spaces seemed limited, we always found one. We found this to be a good three-star hotel, but it seemed short of some amenities and better food quality for four stars. The room itself was spacious, with a large bed. The bathroom was unusual, with glass doors all around and the shower visible from the bed. The toilet area had privacy, but people in neighboring windows could see into the shower; the curtains helped a bit. There was soap, shower gel and shampoo. The minibar had no price list. There was no do-not-disturb or please-clean-room sign, so our room was cleaned, the towels changed and the bed made. We asked reception the next morning to leave it uncleaned for the following days. Breakfast was included, with a choice of a main dish such as omelets, eggs, hot dogs, a sandwich, pizza or spam. Apart from the eggs, these felt like unhealthy options made with cheap, low-quality ingredients. There was also a table with hard-boiled eggs, milk, ready-made pancakes with EuroKrem, one cereal option, low-quality deli items, and whole oranges and apples. That was a nice extra, and there was enough to keep you from going hungry. The internet was awful. In the room there was barely a connection, and even when connected to the network, it often had no internet. Also, Google Maps isn’t precise here: the place has three separate units. One building has the restaurant, which we heard is one of the best in Vranje, and another has the hotel and pizzeria/bar.

The rooms were just right, and everyone on staff was so polite and nice. We had a great experience.

The restaurant was lovely, and the food was amazing.
