A comfortable hotel in the city center, with friendly staff and excellent service.

A charming little hotel at the heart of this old city, right where east and west meet. The young staff are very kind, especially the charming woman at reception, who was there for all our needs. The rooms are extra clean, and some look out over the city park. I recommend it to anyone passing through on the way to southern Europe, including Greece or Turkey. Even two nights are enough to take in the feel of this special city, try the food, drink domestic vine, and hear both modern and distinctive old city music right around this lovely place.

I paid 40 EUR for one night, with parking and breakfast included, and that’s one of the cheapest hotel stays I’ve paid for. The place deserves every penny, with fair prices and payment in EUR. There’s free Wi-Fi and a nice bar/restaurant with comfortable chairs where you can sit and check things on your phone, like WhatsApp or Facebook. The room was clean, the bed was good, and there was air conditioning. The bathroom is just big enough for one person. The sink is a little small, though there’s a hairdryer. Hot water takes some patience: it comes from an electric boiler, so let it run for 20 or 30 seconds before adjusting the shower temperature, then keep it running until you’re finished. If you turn it off, you have to start over. There’s a small kitchen in the room with dishes, cutlery, and a fridge, so you can make your own food. It’s very quiet outside at night. The building has two floors, three by American counting, and no elevator. Getting to the parking area is a little tricky: enter through the gate by a park, drive along a pedestrian sidewalk for about 50 metres, then turn into the courtyard, which also has the hotel entrance. The entrance isn’t on the main road. Breakfast is à la carte, with enough options to suit different tastes, and coffee and tea are included.

A good place to stop overnight when driving, not far from the highway. The rooms are large, and it was quiet; breakfast had different options and was served in a pleasant courtyard. There’s parking inside the property, but ask for directions because you have to go around the park to get in. It was just as promised.
