Musanto Hotel

The hotel is cute and well located by the lake, and the room was nice and tidy. We had to ask twice for towels and also ask for hot water. The insulation seemed poor, like everywhere perhaps, because we could hear people outside and elsewhere in the hotel, and it woke us early. Breakfast tasted good, but the service was really odd. It runs from 7 to 10. We arrived around 8 and the table was almost empty, with just soup, bread, and fruit salad. When other people came around 8:30, the waitress added lots more, including avocado, crêpes, and potatoes. We asked for fried eggs and got boiled ones. I asked for honey too, but it was hidden under the table, and I had to interrupt the waitress each time I wanted some because she wasn't putting it out. She was on her phone, and we heard it vibrating a lot during breakfast. The food wasn't bad, but the service was really unusual 🤔

Nothing fancy, but decent enough and comfortable for a night. TamTam Beach is very close by.

The hotel was neat and very affordable, about a three-minute walk from the shores of Lake Kivu in Gisenyi. The neighborhood felt safe at night and was well lit, with restaurants close by. Staff were friendly and professional, and card payments were accepted. There’s parking inside the hotel grounds. The breakfast buffet had a good variety. The internet worked well during my stay.

The location is hard to beat, and the staff and service were excellent. It’s a fantastic hotel at very reasonable prices. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
