The one real highlight was the breathtaking view of Lake Kivu. My room looked straight over the lake, and it was beautiful. But the rooms are old and smell stale, and the bathroom was terrible. Of the roughly seven people I spoke to, only one understood my food request in English. Breakfast was disappointing too, with stale bread and bland eggs. The hotel and service were terrible. I'd go for the views, then find somewhere else to spend the night.

The lakeside setting at Golf Eden Rock Hotel gave the place a fresh, pleasant feel, and I enjoyed the time I spent there. I only passed through briefly, but saw a lot that I thought was wonderful. Service was quick too, with staff easy to reach.

The reception was very helpful about arranging a boat ride, and we recommend Jean +250 783 309 311 for that. The rooms and restaurant overlook the lake, and it was good value for money. The food was tasty, though it took forever to come.

A really nice place, though some of the houses are old. They should renovate them and add some new things.

I've visited several times and generally find the place okay. The lake view is great, and there's plenty to do, including swimming, watching the water, and late-night dancing parties on the lake. The menu and kitchen service could use some improvement.
