32 KG 46 St

We were really unhappy with this apartment. After our long trip, we were told the room we’d booked wasn’t available because another guest had extended their stay. The host, a man called lemy, runs this apartment under the name Kigali Villa Apartment KG46 on booking.com. The rooms were well finished, and the location is near shops and kimironko market, but the shower pressure was weak and the basic supplies were sparse. The towels were torn and the soap had run out. Their driver took us to a nearby hotel, which was dark and very basic, with a lot of noise from the bar downstairs. We had booked a 2 bedroom family apartment for 30USD per night, but this was hotel accommodation at 40usd per night. At first we thought the host was covering it, then found out we had to pay ourselves, an extra cost for a lower-quality stay. The host later cancelled the booking.com reservation, so we couldn’t leave a review. They said breakfast and an airport ride were free, but breakfast was just tea, a small egg, and pieces of bread, and we had to pay 2 USD for it. The airport ride cost 15USD, and the place isn’t as close to the airport as they claim. A washing machine and free swimming pool were also promised, but neither happened. This left us with a very bad impression of Rwanda, and we strongly recommend avoiding this place.
