The two-bedroom place had everything in order, and ours faced the pool, which felt really relaxing. The water heater worked perfectly and the pressure was great. I also liked swimming at night, when the yellow lights bring out the property's arched design. The pool is great even if you're swimming alone. Kimihurura is packed with restaurants, cafes, bars, and entertainment within walking distance. It's an expat hub, and the drive to the Convention Center takes under three minutes. There's underground parking to keep the car out of the sun, and Jado at reception was a big help. The owner seems to have thought through the details, including toilet assistance for people with disabilities. The beds have mosquito nets, though I didn't notice any mosquitoes. I'd recommend this hotel to people visiting Kigali. It felt like better value than a typical hotel.

We kept $4,000 in $100 bills in an envelope inside the room safe. While we were away on the morning we checked out, someone entered and carefully swapped the middle $100 bills for $1 bills, leaving the first and last bills in place so the envelope looked untouched. We found out about the theft days later, after a long trip home. When we reached out to the owner and manager, they first ignored us, then said staff couldn't open the safe. That leaves the obvious question of how anyone knew the money was there. They kept asking why we hadn't reported it before leaving. The theft happened on our departure day and was done carefully enough that we had no reason to inspect the envelope before traveling. We are reporting it to the police through a local representative. I strongly warn future guests against trusting this hotel with valuables. It was a disturbing experience that completely violated our sense of safety and trust.

Money disappeared from my room's safe during my stay, and there was no sign of forced entry. That left me seriously concerned about how it had been opened. I raised it with management and asked for an explanation and investigation, but their response didn't reassure me or give me confidence. It was a very serious and disappointing experience, and I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this hotel, especially to travelers with valuables. Guests should be cautious.

The place looked just like the pictures on the website when I visited. It's lovely and peaceful, and a great base for seeing Kigali's iconic places. Their breakfast was always on point, too.
