Choose Kigali

The restaurant served good food, and the staff were kind. I even got complimentary fruit juice when I arrived. The gallery itself was nice, but the surrounding numbering made it difficult to find, and there was no sign outside.

It's quiet and doesn't get crowded, which was my favorite thing about the place. The art collections and other nice touches make the experience enjoyable. It's very luxurious, though, and costs more than other dining places in Kigali.

The service was friendly, but not proactive. Four waiters stood near our group of ten, yet we had to ask for finished plates and unused cutlery to be cleared and for drink refills. We expected more. The food was also a letdown, especially after hearing such good things from people who had been before. The risotto was like rice soup, the steak had no flavor, and the salad was very plain with no decoration. My wife got food poisoning from the salmon. On top of that, the washrooms had no water and construction in the compound was loud and disruptive. We had a poor experience at Choose Kigali.

The gallery has beautiful art and some great pieces. I'm curious about the restaurant and might return to try it.
