Corina by Macchiato Suites

The staff were calm and helpful, and I liked that Corina K Guest House followed up on the booking and contacted me a few hours before my flight. Thanks for the hospitality. For reference, my room had no TV, fan, or AC, and I didn't need any of them.

The property and staff are good, but many things need attention. Some of the facilities listed for the room are hard to find. I know the price is cheap, but basic amenities shouldn't be missing. Breakfast lacked basics like butter, jam, and even water. Even if water isn't provided on checkout day, it should at least be part of breakfast.

The receptionist did her best, and she and the staff were very pleasant. I loved the appetizer fruit, but the breakfast was always the same, and the boiled banana was terrible. I hated the Wi-Fi. The place was very hard for taxis to find. We struggled to describe it to almost every driver, who didn't know how to use GPS. The shower and toilet are so close together you can literally shower while sitting on the toilet, no joke. It's in the runt part of Kigali. There's no closet, just something to hang your clothes on. The country is safe, with no thieves.

Breakfast was provided every morning, and you can get very affordable lunch or dinner too. The bar has many kinds of beer, all cold, and the Wi-Fi signal is strong throughout the property. It's in a safe neighborhood, and the staff always help with transportation, either by driving you or arranging a motorcycle or taxi for the proper Rwandan price. They also offer laundry, room cleaning, and several ways to pay, all for excellent value. The place really lives up to its slogan, “All About Hospitality”. I had a great stay at Corina K Guest House and even made some friends. As Kigali keeps developing, this will definitely become a “hot place”. I hope I can come back someday!
