Governor's Residence

The rooms were spacious, cozy, and super clean, and it's easy to get to most places of interest in the city. Meals were fresh and tasty, with a world class chef. The staff were just as impressive, very professional and attentive to detail. I've tried comparing this unique place with other boutique hotels in Kigali, but none of them measure up.

We ended up staying at the Governor's Residence for the first two nights by coincidence, then chose it again for a third night. The views were stunning, and I loved how the design paired modern luxury with local charm. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Jane, Kevine and Vanessa deserve a special mention. They were welcoming, helpful, and attentive from the moment I arrived. The other staff were warm too and made me feel at home. I also really enjoyed the dining, with delicious local and international dishes. I highly recommend the Governor's Residence to anyone visiting Kigali, and I can't wait to come back.

The meals were amazing, and Kigali City looked breathtaking from the property. I stayed earlier this month with my unwell boss, and the staff made us feel cared for, like we were at home. Big thanks to Jane, Marie, Jackson and the director Robert for being so friendly. For me, there's no need to look elsewhere. Without a doubt, this is the best accommodation in Kigali, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The homemade spinach soup was so good that I asked for a second helping, and the chef really is a magician. Honestly, after trying several places in Kigali, I think Governor's Residence is the place to be. I'm a lodge owner myself and quite critical, but I can't wait to return. Thanks to everyone for an unforgettable few days. The staff were caring, friendly, and professional, while the rooms, restaurants, and gardens were immaculate and tasteful. It was a lovely place to simply relax and enjoy, and I didn't want to leave.
