Hotel Hilltop Country Club

Security felt 100% while I was in Kigali. The hotel has a pool, a bar, and wheelchair access. It’s close to the city center, so you can walk around town, and it’s also well located for Kigali International Airport. Service was good and breakfast was tasty.

I spent most of my time by the pool, where the water was calm and blue, especially in the morning. I also liked the grass-like covering on the tiles, which I think can help prevent accidents, and the prices around the pool were good. I hope to try the kitchen next time and add to this review. The hotel is clean and smart, and once inside, the noise from outside disappears. There’s a green view that amazed me. It’s in the city, near the road, so it’s easy to get to. The parking lot is large, labeled, and paired with strong security both at the gate and inside. That’s why I give it five stars.

*Bismillah*. Being only a five-minute drive from the airport and near a mosque made things especially convenient for us. My brother and I could attend our daily prayers in congregation, and the welcoming atmosphere made the stay comfortable. Hilltop Hotel is our first choice for future trips to Rwanda, and I’d recommend it to other visitors. We arrived on Friday and Lady Sharon Kamurungi, the Front Office Manager, welcomed us warmly. She showed real care and leadership during our stay. Divine, Monia, Fred, Bruno, and the rest of the team were attentive. Housekeeping and the food and beverage team were also excellent, including Bruce, Alice, and Ismail. Allah knows best.

The kitchen here is the worst in Kigali. If you're staying for the airport location, eat somewhere else. I ordered steak, but couldn't tell what they had served me. It smelled bad, so I only ate the potatoes that came with it.
