We had lunch at the restaurant after a friend recommended it, even though we were staying at a house. The grounds were beautiful, the food was great, and service was very good. Monkeys were running around while we ate, which made it fun for everyone. It’s a bit of a drive, but worth it.

It’s very quiet here, with hardly any city lights, so there are plenty of stars. The grounds are lovely and there’s ample parking. The dirt road from the highway is well maintained. Staff speak perfect French and perfectly acceptable English. I came for dinner with a friend who’s staying here.

Kanyinya Hotel is about 20 minutes from Kigali, up on one of the city’s best hills, in a serene setting. It’s a nice place for a holiday and relatively affordable. They have hotel rooms and host wedding receptions and parties too.

A nice weekend spot close to Kigali, and the staff are very responsive. The food quality could be better. There are lots of monkeys nearby, so children will enjoy that.
