Kings Hospitality Centre

The staff were helpful, and the hostel was clean and pleasant. My four-bed dorm had mosquito nets and one power socket; the door was left unlocked, but everything was fine. There are three floors and a nice view. The bathroom had two showers and two toilets. Breakfast was tea or coffee with toast, butter, honey, and local fruit.

The receptionist was kind and helpful, and they acted quickly when bed bugs turned up in one dorm. Still, the place was loud and irritating. I was moved around, and security woke me every night, leaving the lights on and making a lot of noise before leaving the room. Fine for one night, then I’d move on.

We found the hostel very quiet, though it may be different in high season. The staff gave us a warm welcome, and the views from the main sitting area were amazing. The bar and restaurant were closed during our stay, but there are several good cafes and restaurants nearby. Our downstairs room was disappointing, with no daylight and an uncomfortable bed and blankets. Breakfast was basic, just fruit and toast with tea or coffee. Mijo is in a safe, lively neighborhood.

The common areas are great, and the location feels safe and secure with plenty of good restaurants close by. Staff were very helpful, the WiFi was quick, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are a little run-down but clean. Breakfast is basic, though at $15 a night I think that’s fair.
