Gilbert was really friendly and helpful, and seemed good at his job. The place was clean and decent, with a nice continental breakfast. It's within a 500-meter walk of the City Centre. I'd stay at Mattina Motel again.

I stopped by on a Thursday night. If you're looking for somewhere in town to meet that's not too crowded, you could check it out. I found the prices a little high for the weak entertainment and somewhat lacking ambience, though it wasn't too bad.

The music can be loud, and it also turns into a bar at night. It's generally a low-budget place, with rooms that need some improvement, especially the bathrooms and services. The staff and manager were really friendly.

Mattina Motel is in Kigali town, near the new Nyarugenge district building. They provide good service both for hotel guests and for people who want to hang out, watch soccer, and try the food.

It's near Kigali Down town and feels quiet. There's a restaurant onside, and you can walk to many shops and the Cinema instead of taking a taxi or car.
