One Click Hotel

The location worked well for the affordable price, within walking distance of the city center and a short taxi ride from the Genocide Museum. I stayed two nights at One Click Hotel, but I probably wouldn’t return to Kigali and stay here because of the room cleaning, shower, and cash payment problems. There’s no shower curtain, so water spread across the bathroom floor, and there was no way for it to drain. The shower had only one towel, with no floor or foot towel. The room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly before I arrived either. There were two used bars of soap still in the shower, with hair follicles visible on them. Noise also carries through the hotel. When a door closes, it sounds slammed, and the booming echoes around, so ear plugs would help for a full night’s sleep. Breakfast is included from 6am-10am. The buffet had tea, coffee, fruit juice, mushroom soup, chicken stew, egg omelette, bacon, Belgian waffles, cheese sandwiches, and various muffins & croissants. Laundry is offered through the hotel with a 24-hr turnaround. Washing and drying one pair of trousers, 4 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of shorts, and a t-shirt cost 14,000 RWF. The hotel’s POS system wasn’t working, so they accepted cash only, in USD, Euros, or RWF.

A great spot for proposal-style parties or a nice dinner with a few friends. The customer service is excellent, and the dishes are delicious.

The open air garden is a treat on a sunny day, and there’s a 24/7 restaurant with a variety of food. Breakfast is free, and you can ask them to make something extra for you. My room had a huge terrace, was neat and clean, and the room service was great. The staff were polite and helpful. It’s a 15 minutes walk from the city center, though motorbikes are readily available on every corner of Kigali and can get you anywhere in minutes. They’re super cheap too. My first impression of Rwanda was that people were super sweet, and everything was extremely clean and good. The hotel itself is great, and the value for money couldn’t be better.

The airport shuttle made both arrival and departure stress-free, and the staff made me feel welcome as soon as I got there. They were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always making sure I had what I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with thoughtful housekeeping and well-stocked amenities. Breakfast was a highlight each morning. The buffet offered a good range of fresh, flavorful dishes for local and international tastes, including healthy choices. The location is close to the city center, so it was easy to get around and explore nearby attractions, shops, and places to eat. I thought the price was reasonable for the quality and service. One Click Hotel was a fantastic stay in Kigali, with comfort and convenience for business or leisure. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely stay again on my next visit.
