OMX Hotel Kimi

We were happy with our choice. From our spacious balcony, we could see the city centre skyline. The staff were welcoming and warm-hearted, and the healthy, tasty breakfast made us even happier. They also provide laundry for free. It’s a calm place and I’d recommend it, even though it’s a bit of a walk to the city centre. A great place to stay in Kigali.

The area and hotel were quiet during my night there, so I got a good rest. The shower had warm water, and there were no mosquitos in my room. The bed was comfy, the location was great, and staff were really nice. Dylan and Joy especially made me feel good about staying there. Breakfast was good and filling. The price was good compared with a few other hotels I tried. I’d definitely stay again.

The Wi-Fi was fast and steady, and the food arrived at our room on time. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room and facilities were more or less clean. We chose Nest Guesthouse for the designated 24-hour quarantine. They picked us up at the airport on time, and we took the Covid-19 test as soon as we arrived. So far, everything had gone smoothly, and we had a good first impression. The food, though, wasn’t good. We assume they may not have a warm kitchen in ‘normal‘ times. There was also no warm water, and the shower pressure was very low. We didn’t expect a lot since it’s not an expensive place on the designated hotels list, but at 90 USD a night for two people, we expected more compared with other hotels in that price range. We can’t say whether the room or food would be better outside quarantine, but we wouldn’t choose Nest again as our designated hotel.

The location was very good, with restaurants and places to hang out nearby. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood at night. The rooms were lovely, though the shower pressure was poor and we had to change rooms. Breakfast was good, but it was the same choices every day I was there.
