Scheba Hotel

The hotel is in a nice area, but in my experience it did almost no maintenance, and the stay was a nightmare from August 1st to the 14th. On three days in a row we had no hot water. Staff kept saying it would be back in 10 minutes, but across the stay some days had hot water and others didn't. When problems came up, they offered no solutions. Staff and the director told us we could leave if unhappy, but wouldn't give our money back. I felt they hid problems until we'd paid in full. The rooms weren't ready when we arrived: there was pee and poo in the toilets, dirty beds, and the room hadn't been cleaned. The TV, dirty kettle, safe box, and lights didn't work. Towels, soap, toilet paper, toothbrushes, and other toiletries weren't provided every day, and I often had to ask reception. The floor stayed dirty despite cleaning, electrical plugs didn't work, and the broken safety lock was never repaired. There were no lights at night, and some lights blinked badly. Breakfast wasn't great, and cockroaches ran among the food. The restaurant food wasn't good either, so if you end up staying there and have the option, Urban restaurant is 10 minutes away. The director despised others and showed no respect to clients. The manager didn't do much beyond saying he was doing his best, while we had to keep reminding him the rooms weren't okay. This can't be called a hotel in my view, and it shouldn't be rated with stars. Staff lied and concealed the issues until after we'd paid. They take your money and provide no services. Run away, book basically any other hotel.

It's quiet in a luxury neighborhood, with a nice swimming pool and outstanding service. ✨️

The rooms were okay and the staff were great, but dinner was a big disappointment: just boiled chicken, rice, and a few vegetables. The worst food I've ever eaten at a hotel.

The staff made this hotel memorable. From the front desk to the cleaners, every one of them was accommodating and ready to do their best for nearly 100 guests at once. The rooms were clean, the location was great, and the service was stellar. I'll definitely stay again.
