I loved my stay at Rushel Kivu Lodge. I was in a standard tent, with a separate side tent containing a proper shower and toilet, and the view was amazing. There’s beach access, a small restaurant serving tasty Tilapia and breakfast, and the staff were really friendly. Such a beautiful spot.

It was peaceful, with lovely views, and we had a great time on a boat ride and hiking on the nearby island. The steak and beach setting were also highlights, especially the fire at night. The rooms were comfortable and service was good, but finding the place was a real struggle because it’s so remote.

Still missing this place months later, I’d love to go back! The fresh bio food, rooms, landscape, and service were all wonderful. Honestly, it felt like heaven on earth. I’d suggest arriving by boat.

Such a wonderful stay. I’d love for all my people to get the chance to come here.

We spent a weekend here to unwind and really liked it. The place was lovely and cozy, the staff were great, and it almost felt like being by the sea. The road was the one real problem: it was dug up while work was underway, and we wouldn’t have made it in without our SUV. I also heard noisy parties can happen when younger groups are staying.
