Grand East Hotel

The hall looks really pretty, and most of the furniture was pretty too, but the room interior could use some work. There was a slight but unpleasant smell, especially from the kitchen furniture, which didn’t seem very sturdy. The bathroom door had one of those ventilation windows, so privacy wasn’t great. Communication was difficult because the staff don’t speak English. I guess it’s not very expensive, but there wasn’t any tea or coffee in the room to unwind after travel or wake up with. There were no towels at all, though a couple of tissue boxes were nearly empty. Breakfast was okay, not great, but at least it was there.

The internet speed was awful, and the hotel itself wasn’t clean. Breakfast wasn’t good, with only a few options. There were no carpets, the appliances were old and noisy, and the TV was poor. You have to call room service to change a channel. A very bad experience.

The location works well as a starting point for tourist attractions. It’s by Al-Rashid Mall on the Dammam-Khobar line and near Dhahran Mall. The lobby is roomy, comfortable, and has plenty of seating, while the rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished. I also received a warm welcome. A unique hotel in every sense of the word.

The rooms are old, ugly, and smell really bad. You won't feel lonely with the cakarochs for company 😉 😜. The one good thing was the service, which was good 👍
