Asal Al Hamra Hotel Jeddah

The rooms were a strong point: spacious and thoughtfully equipped with a comfortable bed, TV, effective AC, fridge, hairdryer, iron, plenty of cupboard space, and good toiletries including shampoo and towels. Daily cleaning was reliable, and staff could bring extras such as a tea kettle on request. The hotel has eight floors, so it feels open rather than cramped. The service stood out most. Mr. Kamal Uddian from room service was really great, energetic, soft-spoken, and very helpful. He speaks Hindi, which is a real plus for travelers from the Indian subcontinent, and went out of his way to help arrange food, cabs, and other requests. There’s no restaurant or food room service at the hotel, but plenty of shops and places to eat are within walking distance. The central location makes exploring Jeddah easy. King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) is about 20km away, with a taxi costing approximately 40-50 SAR. King Fahd Fountain is an easy 1km walk, despite Google Maps suggesting a longer route. Al Rahmah (Floating) Mosque is around 20km away and costs about 30 SAR by taxi. A taxi to Albalad costs 15 SAR. A spacious, well-equipped, centrally located base with notably good staff service. I’d recommend it to business travelers, tourists, and Umrah visitors looking for a clean, comfortable, convenient place to stay. Plan to find meals in the neighborhood.
