Radisson Blu Resort, Jizan

The sea views and location are a real plus, and the lobby and shared spaces looked clean. Staff were welcoming and polite. My room was comfortable, though it showed some wear and could have been cleaner. Check-in took longer than I expected, and room service was slow to answer requests. Breakfast had a reasonable selection, but the quality could be better at this level. It was an okay place for a short stay, though it fell short of what I expect from Radisson Blu. Better upkeep and quicker service would make a difference.

Compared with my visit a few years ago, this stay was a letdown. The carpets in the room weren't clean, and getting anything from room service meant calling repeatedly from morning through evening. There were no extra pillows, no towels by the pool, and no service in the pool area. Laundry wasn't available to meet my needs either.

Getting the invoice meant waiting there for more than half a day, which was extremely inconvenient. We had arranged an Iftar for our company employees, but the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend the venue for corporate events. The sales and marketing team didn't respond, so coordination was very difficult. The receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Service fell far below what I'd expected for a company event. Not recommended.

Even calling the front desk on my last day didn't help. I spent 30 minutes trying to get a bellboy, and they stopped answering the phone. The biggest disappointment came when, instead of dealing with my complaints professionally, the GM sent the IT Manager to offer discounts and upgrades if I stayed quiet and didn't file a formal complaint. Trying to buy a positive review instead of fixing the problems was disgusting. My family stayed in Room 101, a Junior Suite, over the 2026 Eid holidays. I'm a Riyadh-based professional who has trusted the Radisson brand for a long time. I also contacted the COO's office in Dubai, #Tim Cordon, but got no response. That left me feeling the property was indifferent to guest experience. The front-line staff seemed to be trying their best to firefight ongoing problems, but the General Manager had left them without the basic planning and infrastructure a Radisson Branded hotel needs. Key cards didn't work, and neither did the in-room phone. Even the emergency call tab wasn't answered by reception after I reported it, and the phone was never fixed. With no way to call the desk, I had to track staff down in person during the holiday. The TVs weren't Smart TVs, so we couldn't use our Netflix or Prime subscriptions. Housekeeping said they were too busy to service my room during the holidays. At 9:00 PM, I still had no water or clean glasses, and a night chef had to help with basic amenities. The kitchen ran out of basics like chicken and juices during the predictable Eid rush. Orders were missed, and at first staff blamed me for their mistakes. The property was poorly kept: soiled carpets, bird droppings on the window sills, and neglected grounds. It didn't meet Radisson's global standards. If you're looking for a reliable stay in Jizan, avoid this property until leadership changes. Management can't currently handle seasonal demand or basic maintenance.
