The location was perfect for us, and the hotel reception was alright, especially Rayan. The room itself was very small for three adults, with no proper space for three suitcases or even to pray Salah. The bed was shorter than our height of 185cm and very uncomfortable. The toilet was rusty and heavily limescaled, and the room had mold and a strong unpleasant smell. There was no hot water. Reception staff couldn’t help, and seemed unfamiliar with the rooms. I think the issue is a lack of work experience, not their fault under Saudi law, which requires fine jobs to be done by Saudis and labor jobs by foreigners. Still, visitors come from all over the world to the Harams, and staff should speak at least English. On Friday 9th of january, we lost power from early 0800h. The problem was with saudi electrical, but the hotel should have had extra generators for situations like this. It was dark, with no WiFi, water, lights, airco, or way to charge a phone. Only one very small elevator worked, and the wait was long. Don’t bring females who complain a lot to this hotel.

For my stay from 22 - 25 February 2026, this was a wonderful place to be. There’s a new praying area close by, just a two-minute walk away, and the hotel is near Masjidil Haram. Mr. Rayyan was very helpful. The price was great even during Ramadhan. I’d recommend it. Thank you.
The location is very good, about a ten-minute walk to haram sharif. Our room was nice and clean, though the showers and toilets could use an upgrade. Service from everyone was great. Faisal Irshad, the bellman, was especially helpful on our departure day, carrying our luggage to a car park a little way from the hotel because of road closures.
We had a booking and waited over an hour to check in. A man told us the key would be ready and that we should go do umrah. Six hours later, the woman at the desk said we had no booking, despite having our passport photo and booking details right beside her. She was working during the day on 9th march. I hope this helps the managers. She was extremely rude and uncooperative, even telling me to go away when I explained we were there for our key. Receptionists should be welcoming. May Allah forgive her unacceptable behavior.
The way Emaan Al Khalil Hotel is presented on Trip.com bears no resemblance to what we found. The photos and description are misleading, and it felt like false advertising. We had a very disappointing stay, honestly one of the worst hotels I’ve been in. From arrival, the reception staff were rude and unhelpful. The room was tiny with three beds squeezed in, leaving barely room to walk. The bathroom was also tiny, and shower water flooded the floor because there was no proper drainage. It felt unsafe and poorly maintained. Cleanliness was a serious problem too: there were flies in the room, everything felt dirty, and a strong urine smell never went away. That’s unpleasant and unacceptable when you expect basic hygiene and comfort. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid booking here. Never again.
