Apart from the Egyptian gentleman at reception, I found nothing good about this place. The Arabic-speaking man who took our money was rude and uncooperative. I don’t want to see his grumpy face again. The shuttle to Al Haram was very poor, with such limited times that pilgrims don’t get a good chance to use it. Taxis cost around 20-50 Riyals from the hotel to Al Haram, and the trip back was even more expensive, around 50-100 Riyals.

I arrived on the 9th jan after booking and paying in full online through Agoda, only to be told by the receptionist that there were no rooms. She said one might be available after Asar time, which was unacceptable with a confirmed, paid booking. Another family was there arguing over the same problem, so this seemed to happen regularly. Their dishonesty and poor management left me scrambling to book a nearby hotel at the last minute. It cost extra and wasted time, and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. This place felt totally unprofessional, unreliable, and fraudulent. Avoid it.

There are several restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and Hotel Emaar Legend is clean, tidy, and quiet. The staff were welcoming, and reception was responsive and kept things updated as requested. My room had a refrigerator, electric kettle, tea and coffee sachets, drinking water, fresh towels, a Quran, a Musallah, and chilled AC. Modern facilities were available throughout. Reception staff were welcoming and cooperative, but the shuttle service was pathetically bad. The driver was rude and didn’t know how to speak with basic courtesy. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in future.
