Al Ebaa Hotel

I was really nervous about booking my first Umrah trip with my family, but Al Ebaa worked out perfectly for what I needed. It’s about a 10 minute walk to Haram, and the price was affordable for such a good location, especially compared with the big hotels closer by. Our room was clean and a decent size, with daily cleaning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Imaad at reception was a big help. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable trip in a convenient spot.

I booked during the last 10 days of Ramadan because the other hotels were ridiculously priced. I usually stay at 5* places like Swisshotel, Conrad, or The Address, and I wanted to add my view since I hate seeing complaints that it’s too far or the elevators take too long. Of course, things take longer if you leave just 15 minutes before Salah. For the price, this place is fantastic value. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Haram, either via the Anjum shortcut or straight up Umm Al Qura Road, which is closed at prayer times and makes for an easy walk. There’s a slight uphill stretch for 2-3 minutes, so it may be difficult if you’re elderly and struggle with that. The staff were great. Receptionists were receptive, and housekeeping were caring, bringing clean towels, bathroom mats, or changing the bedsheet when asked. The area felt like a refreshing, more authentic side of Makkah, away from the Clock Tower and its modernization and commercialisation. There’s plenty of food, pharmacies, supermarkets, and shopping nearby. Book here if you want to save money and still have a fantastic experience. I hope this review helps.

I was in room #613 for 7 nights, 15 Nov, 25 - 22 Nov, 25. The location and hospitality really impressed me. Most of the staff could speak and understand English, which helped a lot, and they were very helpful. From the room, the view of Haram road was amazing, the kind of sight you don’t want to leave. It’s a good choice if you want a non-expensive hotel within 5-8 minutes on foot from Haram. Staff: 10/10. Location: 10/10. Cleanliness: 9/10. Expectation vs Reality: 10/10.

The location made things easy, with Masjid Al-Haram so close that leaving 5-10 minutes before prayer was enough. My room was clean, housekeeping came consistently, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming. What I appreciated most was how the front office handled my last-minute change to the length of my stay. The gentlemen at the desk coordinated with the reservation team and arranged a refund without hassle. They politely checked with me twice to make sure I wasn’t canceling because of a problem with the room or service. That personal attention is rare. I had a smooth stay and was treated kindly.
