Al Jabri Hotel

The hotel itself is good, but unfortunately the staff are bad and racist. During a trip from the hotel, I found a veiled woman at reception who said she was the manager. She wouldn't let me into the hotel mosque to pray in the afternoon and spoke to me in an arrogant, condescending way.

Rooms are okay, and rates start around 150 or 200 riyal. The elevators are painfully slow, though. I've waited 20-30 minutes for one, and I don't know why. The laundry room needs work. There's no elevator to the top floor where it is, no AC despite Makkah's heat, and some machines don't work. The floor is always wet because the pipes aren't good enough. It's also very dirty and needs cleaning and maintenance.

I stayed here during Hajj, when it was very crowded, so I can't really judge the hotel accurately.

The building itself is decent, but the service let me down, and getting to the elevators is difficult. I asked for a blanket and never got it. I called twice to request cleaning and also went to reception, but they kept telling me to wait. In the end, I waited over five hours. There's a sink tile broken in half, mold on the shower tiles, a remote that doesn't work, and moisture damage has left the wall damp and peeling.
