Barakat Al Aseel

Rooms are small, but the place was clean and neat, and it works as family accommodation on busy days. Fast food places are nearby. There's no hotel parking, so you have to leave your car behind or somewhere around the area. A taxi to Haram costs 10-15 SAR one way. Staff take complaints too casually.

They offer early check-in and a pick-up and drop-off service to Haram, which were helpful. Al baik is in the next building, and there are Bakala shops at both the front and back. Food is a weak point if you want a proper meal, since there's no good restaurant within walking distance. Better to look for dinner on the Haram side or drive somewhere you like.

It's an okay place to sleep, though far from the Haram and the hotel bus service isn't efficient. During peak hours it took 10-15 minutes to reach the Haram. A taxi can drop you at the tunnel near King Fahd gate and costs 20-30 SAR, so include that in your trip budget. I stayed two nights during Ramadan 1437.

The staff were rude and didn't show customers respect. No one at the counter spoke English. The waiters ignored requests too, and when you ask them for something, they don't bring it.
