The staff were really friendly, especially at reception. Thanks in particular to mr Adham, mrs Semiha, and mr Sheirad. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel is very close to the haram. It’s downhill on the way there, but the walk back up is harder. It takes roughly 15-20 minutes.

It seems like a good fit for pilgrims and short religious visits. The hotel is close to the Haram, so getting to prayers is easier. Most of the time it was fairly calm, and the staff interactions were fine.

Breakfast was absolutely zero. We found good breakfast at other local restaurants. The rooms and public areas were super clean, and Masjid Al Haram is about a 15-minute walk away. Walking back means climbing uphill and takes a lot of physical fitness. There’s a shuttle if you can use it, but it gets crowded and takes time.

At low season I paid around 150 sr for a clean, good room with a nice view of the clock tower, friendly service, and a buffet breakfast that was amazing. The food and taste varied from day to day, and I was surprised by the variety and the price. The hotel is close to the clock tower building, about 15 minutes on a normal walk, and it didn’t feel tiring. The road slopes down toward the masjid, so getting there is easy. For the uphill trip back, you can catch any bus from the station behind the clock tower, about a 3-5 minute walk away, or take a taxi. Just tell the driver your hotel. A bus passing it will drop you opposite the hotel. You don’t have to wait for a specific hotel bus. People staying in Ajyaj often do this, and buses are available all the time.
