I got sick on the second day, though I don't know what caused it. The room was filthy, with poop all over the bathroom, which was traumatic, and the shower and bidet sprayed like a painful jet. They hadn't replaced the heads, which cost 15 SAR or less. I couldn't use the hotel bathroom comfortably and relied on the one at Alharam instead. There was no privacy either. Staff came into my room while I was asleep, and did the same to my relatives in another room. Even though we'd paid in full beforehand, they kept knocking on the door. The window wouldn't close, and the driver honked constantly, so sleeping through the noise was hard. I used my noise-cancelling headset, but not everyone has one. I've stayed in some of the worst hotels, and this was one of them. I would have rather slept in my car, but I came by bus and had no choice.

The elevators work, and there was warm water. Everything else was rough: the rooms, bathrooms, dresser drawers, and bedding were stained and dirty. Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. None of the receptionists spoke a language other than Arabic, which seems odd for an international hotel. People smoked inside and left cigarette butts around the building. There were no food facilities, microwave, kitchen, or laundry, and only some of the refrigerators worked.

It's near Haram, about a 10-minute walk, but the service was poor and the room wasn't cleaned.
