Mr. Favzi was incredibly kind and helped us a lot, which made our trip easier. I stayed at Hotel Palestine for five nights while visiting Mecca Mukarrama for Umrah. The rooms were clean, and it’s an affordable option. Getting to Kaba took about a 10-minute walk. I recommend the Palestine.

The staff at reception were welcoming, and housekeeping was friendly and did a good job. Haram is about a 5-10 minute walk away. The rooms felt quite small with three or four beds, though, and the Wi-Fi was very weak, sometimes not working at all.

I only stayed one night, from 9 Jan to 10 Jan 2026. The restaurant staff were professional and helpful, and the reception team were generally polite. But my booking included breakfast and they hadn’t added it to my room, so I had an embarrassing, awkward moment at the restaurant when they said I wasn’t on the list. The room setup was inconvenient too. There wasn’t a power outlet by the bed or desk, so I had to charge my laptop in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was disappointing, with very little choice, about a 3/10 for the food selection. My stay felt frustrating because of the booking mistake and the room layout, despite the friendly staff. I hope management sorts out these facility and coordination problems.

The hotel is near the 2nd bridge, so Haram is quite far away. The rooms are cramped, with no space for luggage, and the facilities are old. I’d only recommend it if you can get a cheap room. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
