Snood Al Rayyan Hotel

Assalamu alaykum. The staff were kind and respectful, and I really appreciated that. The location is good too, about a 12 to 15 minute walk to Masjid al-Haram. Getting back is a bit harder because the hotel is uphill, but alhamdulillah. I didn’t enjoy the food, though I’m not saying it was bad. I saw bugs in the bathroom, but generally the place was clean. The biggest problem for me was the two twin washing machines instead of regular ones. I’m still pleased with them, but using them was a little tiring. I recommend the hotel in general. I’m not picky, but someone especially sensitive might not recommend it. Wa alaykum assalam.

We stayed for five nights and had spacious rooms with quick room service. There’s free transportation to Masjid al-Haram right outside the hotel. Amazing stay.

We got no cleaning during our three nights, no drinking water or even tissues, and the rooms smelled bad with flying insects around all the time. They left a garbage box outside our room and didn’t remove it promptly. The shuttle bus service was listed, but the bus was never available. The hotel is pricey for this poor service. They’re renovating the buildings, so the elevators are always busy with maintenance work. It’s on a steep mountain, so don’t expect to walk back after prayers in Mecca.

The staff were very helpful, and the hospitality was great. Clean place.
