Snood Al Salam

During Hajj 2024, our package included three meals a day, and the food menu was excellent. The hotel has 15 floors, with laundry on the very top floor. From the roof there was a good view of the surrounding area and the clock tower. The staff were helpful.

It's a cheap hotel that looks nice in the pictures, and you get what you pay for. Our mattress was completely worn out, with the springs easy to feel. The room needs repairs: the curtain was damaged, the kettle was broken, and there was no water or cups. Only one towel was provided for two guests, so I had to ask for another. I was glad I'd brought my own toilet roll. The shower base leaked, which meant extra cleaning after we used it. Soap and a shampoo sachet were supplied, nothing else. We were on the third floor and kept hearing the cleaning staff at different hours. The check-in process took far too long. The booking app said check-in was available after 4:30pm. We arrived after 6pm and didn't get into the room until after 7:15pm.

The beds were uncomfortable, the room was never cleaned during our six-night stay, and we had to ask for toilet paper every day. There weren't enough towels at first; we got more when we asked, but no room service came to clean them. We used the disposable paper cups once and requested replacements, but never received any. There was a kettle for making tea or coffee. It felt like nobody cared about the guests. The place seemed abandoned, and I won't stay there again or recommend it.

The service staff were very good about asking whether we needed anything. I especially remember Munir and Nasir. The rooms were a different story. Bugs came out of holes in the rooms, and water leaked when we showered. The manager has a lot of work to do, and I wasn't happy with their job. For that place to sleep, it was too expensive and not worth it.
