Bosphorus Hotel

The location is close to Masjid, which was the one clear plus. Breakfast was okay, but the choices were limited, and for the price we paid it was disappointing. We spent £865 (4,473SAR) for four nights in a room advertised as a “Superior King Room.” At check-in, the receptionist confirmed that room type while taking payment, but we were given two single beds instead. After travelling more than 10 hours and arriving around 3 AM, we were too tired to complain straight away. It still wasn’t what we booked, confirmed, or paid for. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and sleep was difficult. The room was cold, the heating blew cold air even when set to 25 degrees hot, and drafts came through the poorly insulated windows. Despite soundproofing being advertised, we heard traffic and car horns clearly throughout the night. With one night still left, the stay hasn’t felt worth the money.

The location is a big part of the appeal, just steps from Gate 314 of the mosque, so getting there was easy at any time. The buffet had plenty of choices and was nicely presented. We found the rooms spacious, and the washrooms were spotless and stocked with toiletries. Communication from the team was clear and prompt from the time we booked, and check-in was quick and easy. Everyone, from reception to the restaurant staff and luggage attendants, treated us so well that I had to remind myself this wasn’t a 5-star hotel. I stayed at the Bosphorus Hotel and had a phenomenal experience. I’ll return on my next visit. 10/10, highly recommended.

We were in a junior suite with a partial view of the Haram during Eid al-Adha 2026. Being so close to the Prophet's Mosque and its spiritual atmosphere made me very happy, but the stay itself was only acceptable. Services were hard to get and often slow even when available. Most TV outlets didn’t work, nor did the remote or iron, and the sinks had weak water pressure. The Eid celebration felt very modest and disorganized. After all that, the price was exorbitant. There was no parking available.

We had a good stay as a family, and the hotel is very clean. The staff were kind and helpful, and it’s very close to the prophet’s Mosque. I was in touch with them before check-in, and their guest relations communication was the best I’ve had from a hotel. The breakfast buffet could be better.
