Dar Joud Hotel - Madinah

A nice place to stay.

Perfect.

There’s a mosque nearby, and Sari Street is close. The Haram is 16 minutes away. For a small family, the apartment is adequate for a stay of no more than a week. The finish and furnishings are decent, though the indoor cleanliness needs work: I found many small cockroaches in the bathrooms and kitchen, plus rubbish under the beds that I cleaned up myself. The bathroom fan barely works, and the shower leaks. Some kitchen items also seemed questionable, including an old kettle and a two-burner stove. When I requested an office desk, Mr. Ahmed brought a tray from underneath. I appreciated the help, even though it wasn’t ideal. I stayed for half the agreed time and now want to leave with my father, but they’re refusing to refund the unused booking amount. This is my honest account of the place.

The apartment was dirty, and the service was poor. We were treated badly, and they weren’t cooperative. There was too much street noise, and when it was time to leave, nobody was available to help with our bags. I had to carry everything myself. This is the last time I’ll deal with them.
