Diyar Al Habib Hotel

We booked through a travel agent for our Medina pilgrimage, but the service was the worst I've experienced anywhere. The rooms were unclean, the washrooms untidy, and the towels both dirty and insufficient. When it was around 12-15 degrees outside, they wouldn't even provide a glass of hot water. Then someone suddenly came into the room and told us we had to move because we'd been given the wrong one. We were hurried out within 10-15 minutes while other guests waited. I wouldn't consider staying here.

If being close to the Haram matters more to you than modern comforts, Diyar ul Habib Hotel is a good choice. It's a 2-3 minute walk from Gate 365 of Masjid an-Nabawi, right across from the Green Dome (Gumbad-e-Khizra). The hotel is quite old and doesn't have modern technology or amenities. Its historical charm and location near the Prophet's Mosque make up for that.

Never coming back. The crew were angry and rude, and showed no respect for customers. Worst service and worst hotel.

We booked and paid the full amount for four nights, December 9 to 13, for one room with four beds. The room hadn't been cleaned and smelled foul, so I moved to another hotel. After I cancelled, the hotel refused to return my money. The booking was made through an agent, who said the management would not issue a refund.
