Makarem Haram View Suites

The location is great, and our room had a lovely view of the mosque and green dome. But the service was really poor and disappointing, especially for what this hotel costs. The room was dusty and wasn't cleaned regularly, and housekeeping didn't vacuum even after I asked reception to arrange it. That only happened after I repeated the request. Housekeeping didn't clean every day, and when I called for amenities, nobody answered, the calls kept being rejected. After I finally got through, the team took ages to come. They were argumentative too. When I said I'd asked for the room to be vacuumed, they insisted reception hadn't told them and argued instead of doing the job. Renovation work was also going on, leaving the common areas very dusty. The room itself was great, but the housekeeping and service were far below what I'd expect from a normal hotel.

Staying at Makarem feels like being at home, with a sense of calm and genuine hospitality. It seems thoughtfully suited to families and anyone looking for peace while in Madinah. Just a few steps from Masjid Nabawi, the location makes it easy to visit whenever you want, which means a lot if you're there for spiritual reasons. The place is well kept and organized, with the essential facilities for a comfortable stay. The rooms function well and are clean, and everything gives a sense of safety and well-being.

The reception staff were courteous and helpful throughout my stay. Ahmed Al-Shaikh and Maryam deserve a special mention for their hospitality and support. The lifts were smooth, and the place felt peaceful and well managed. Makarem Suites had recently been renovated, and the interiors looked impressive, modern, clean, and comfortable. The location is hard to beat, just steps from the Haram. The room was reasonably priced for its quality and closeness to the Haram. I had an excellent stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madinah for good service, location, and value.

The room was clean and nicely arranged, with a beautiful view, but what happened at reception left us very disappointed. We arrived with my elderly father in a wheelchair, and he urgently needed a restroom. We were told there wasn't one in the reception area. The staff member checking us in was busy with the booking and offered no help or alternative. I explained the situation to another staff member, but the response showed little urgency or empathy. I even suggested letting my father use the restroom in any vacant room briefly, but nobody showed initiative or flexibility. This was especially upsetting given his situation. The front desk shapes guests' first impressions, and staff should respond with more care and consideration in moments like this.
